Different Learning Styles

Each person has their own unique learning style through a method which facilitates learning for them. There is a combination of various earning styles in everyone there is no exclusive learning style for just one person. These learning styles are not fixed; you can develop any learning style you wish to make yours.

Visual

Visual learners absorb information more easily by seeing it. Several types of visuals such as pictures, charts, diagrams, and maps facilitate learning for these people. They don’t always remember names, but they are good at remembering faces and they maintain eye contact during a conversation to not lose focus. Visual learners have a superior ability to read body language, follows directions instinctively, and have a better perception of aesthetics.

Auditory

People with an auditory learning style learn best by hearing and speaking. They are very social and talking about concepts helps them understand  the material better.  Listening to music may help auditory learners to concentrate better. Auditory learners excel in oral exams, working in groups, reading out loud, and story-telling.

Kinesthetic

People with a kinesthetic learning style absorb information easier by using a hands-on approach and doing physical activities such as role playing, drawing, writing, and performing experiments. Kinesthetic learners would rather demonstrate how to do things instead of verbally explaining. They have great hand-eye coordination and high levels of energy. People with this learning style usually excel in athletic activities, art, and drama.

Solitary

Solitary learners prefer to learn alone in a quiet environment.  People with this type of learning style are more introspective and independent learners. They spend time on self- analysis and self-reflection and problem solving on their own. They may dislike working in groups.

Social
Social learners prefer learning in groups, classes, or one-on-one with a teacher. They love participating in social activities and like solving problems with a group.  They dislike studying on their own and get bored easily with assignments they have to complete alone. Social learners always look for opportunities to work with h others and are most likely to participate in study groups, school cubs, and sports.
