Have Guests this Holiday Season? Bring Them to The Brindle Room For Brunch

For those of us living in New York City the holiday season brings about a numerous amount of house guests.  While many will take to cooking home-made meals the majority of us will be taking out our guests to eat.

If you find yourself looking for a cozy place where the pricing is just right you may consider visiting the Brindle Room at 277 East 10th street in the East Village.   With their wide variety of brunch items there is something for everyone’s taste.

SEBASTIAN STEAK HOUSE BURGER

The star of the brunch menu would have to be the “Sebastian Steak Burger”.  Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock you have heard of the great popularity this burger has obtained in NYC.  Made with dry aged beef that comes from the deckle found on the rib eye, The Brindle Room burger is chock full of flavor.  Perfectly seared in a cast iron skillet and served up with caramelized onions and gooey American cheese this burger will make your Saturday or Sunday brunch memorable.

SHRIMPS AND GRITS

A southern classic, The kitchen staff at the Brindle Room has nailed this dish.  This is a knock out dish especially with the winter season upon us.  Come in out of the cold and try a creamy cheesy polenta with buttered garlic shrimps poured over it, If that’s not enough these shrimp and grits are served up some poached eggs.

CHALLAH FRENCH TOAST

If you have more of a sweet tooth then you may consider ordering the French Toast.  Made with Challah bread this French toast is soaked in a tasty mix of eggs, milk, sugar and spices.  It is then topped off with some fresh fruit, caramelized bananas and a dollop of nutella.

SHAKSHUKA OR POTATO CHIP FRITATA

If you’re looking for something a bit more exotic you’re in for a treat.  The Brindle Room makes the best Shakshuka ( a dish that hails from the middle east)you will find in the city.  Eggs are baked a cast iron skillet which contains a specially spiced tomato sauce, fresh scallions and feta cheese.
If you’re looking for something with a little bit less zest you may consider the Frittata.  The brindle room keeps it fresh changing up the ingredients that go into their frittata every few weeks.  Both these dishes are served up with grilled Peasant bread.

You’ll find some American classics as well as some international dishes at Brindle Room’s brunch.  To check out their full brunch menu click here

How to Throw the Perfect Office Party

With the holiday season right around the corner many people are anxious to get their Office Party Ideas flowing.  Although we love the enthusiasm there are a few things to consider before you go ahead and throw your holiday bash such as who will be providing the food?

If you want your holiday office party to go off without a hitch take a minute to read these tips.  We guarantee that you will be the talk of the office come Monday.

Pick a Convenient Date

The holiday season is a stressful time most of your coworkers will be getting their home festivities in order as well as setting up for visiting family.  When planning your office party you may want to consider throwing it a good week or two before the main holiday.  With so many different holidays being celebrated in December a good rule of thumb is to set you date to the first week of December.

Pick a Convenient Location

Just like Real Estate Location is key when it comes to throwing a successful office Party.  You want to focus on an area that is close to the office so it is convenient for everyone to attend.  Maybe a local bar or a local restaurant will work.  If you insist on holding the party in your office make sure to have it in an area that is communal.  Make sure to put away any office furniture and equipment.  Nothing kills a mood faster than giving the impression that you are about to work over time.

Decorations are a must

Don’t skimp out on decorations.  There are countless of stores that provide decorations for every budget.  Plain walls do not make people want to get down and party.  Throw some streamers and balloons in there why don’t you.

Respect Everyone’s Views

Remember not everyone celebrates what you celebrate.  When making a holiday office party keep it nondenominational.  Try to go with a theme as opposed to a specific holiday.  For December a good theme would be winter.

Provide Enough Sustenance

It’s not a party without some good food and good cocktails.  Make sure you have enough to go around.  Nothing bums party goers more than there not being enough food or booze.  To make sure you do not come down this road you may consider a bar restaurant or better yet have your office party catered by a professional business such as Brindle Room Catering.

Keep an Eye Out for the Office Party Animal

Every office has one!  And it’s fine as well as you know how to control this individual.  Make sure to keep an eye out for the party animal in your crew.  This person can single handle destroy your party.
If you are considering throwing a holiday office party this year you may consider using the services provided by Brindle Room Catering.  Brindle Room Catering has been putting smiles on their clients faces with the following services:

Why Innovation Is Important In Your Restaurant

The competition between restaurants can be quite intense, because of it you need to give it your all to be successful.  Getting a customer's attention nowadays can be challenging, but you need to think outside the box ( in this case the restaurant) to turn some heads.
In today's world everyone works from a laptop, a handheld device or a tablet. Information must be instantaneous and easily accessible, take advantage of this changes.

·         Instagram
One of the best ways to promote your restaurant and it's food is on Instagram. Just log-in and take a look, you will see pictures and pictures of mouth watering food.

·         Loyalty programs
Consider partnering up with online food apps, it should definitely help your marketing plan. Online apps encourage visitors to check out your restaurant through loyalty programs, which offer visitors a free purchase or discounts for visiting a certain number of times.

·         Yelp
yelp has a tremendous power over  the restaurant industry, so having a positive review will send those customers right to your doors. Keep in mind that in Yelp people can and will review you, even if you don't have an account.

·         Google+
Getting your restaurant a Google+ account is vital. When you search a business in Google, Google's knowledge graph provides details of this business. Including a rating, a small description, address, phone, working hours and a link to your site.

·         Email Newsletter
Email newsletters are a great way to let your customers know what's going to happen in the near future in the restaurants. Changes in the menu, moving to a bigger location or events.

·         Social Media Presence
Remember Instagram isn't the only tool you have at your disposal. Facebook and Twitter are other ways to keep in touch with your customers and promote yourself.

·         Delivery Service
With today's online driven environment, many online delivery services streamline the ordering process. Some customers may even discover you for the first time through services such as this.

How To Make Your Restaurant Stand Out From Competitors

Making your restaurant stand out from competitors is paramount to the success of your restaurant. If you aren't interested in making your restaurant stand out, then you are not going to be long in the business. There are countless number of restaurants, the industry is full of completion and if you want to win then you must stand out.
·         Get a strong online presence
Everyone is online now. They talk, they share and they review. Your business can choose to either ignore this o take advantage of it, but this is a great way to promote your restaurant and let it get known by the public.

·         Host cooking classes
Host cooking classes to people of your local community. This is a great way to get the people involved with the restaurant. It also attracts the press, because it's not a common thing for restaurants to do.

·         Promote a local charity
Another way to let your restaurant be known is openly supporting a good cause. Find a local charity that is really helping the community. choose a day of each month that 10% of every tab goes to the local charity. You'll not only have your restaurant's marketing at your disposal to spread the word, but you'll also enable that local charity to promote your restaurant as well.

·         Rent the restaurants for events
Once you make a name with the community, let them know that your restaurant is willing and ready to host events. You'll get request ranging from birthday parties to business meetings.

These are just a few ways you can make your restaurant stand out.

Proper Hand Washing Techniques That Will Keep You Safe

Whether you believe or not, catching a food borne illness can be pretty easy if the people handling your food are not taking precautionary measures.  This is why Florida recommends the use of services such as Florida ServSafe Food Manager, Florida Food ManagerCertification, Florida Food Handler Certificates.

Ken Kuscher has been in the business of helping people from the food industry obtain certifications as well as providing his service as “Florida food service expertwitness”. With his decades of experience Ken Kuscher has developed the following proper technique for hand washing.

  1. When washing your hands make sure to take off all jewelry without exception.  Jewelry offer many nooks and crannies where bacteria can live and thrive.
  2. Soap and warm water are your friends.  Make sure to use a generous amount when washing your hands.
  3. Washing only your hands is not sufficient.  Remember to lather your hands and arms all the way up to your elbow.  You should continue lathering with soap for no less than 20 seconds.  If you need a simple way to keep track try counting the happy birthday song twice.  This comes out to roughly 20 seconds.
  4. Always keep a nailbrush handy.  When washing your hands make sure to wash the backs of your hands and wrists, between fingers and under fingernails, this is when the nailbrush comes in handy.
  5. Once you have properly lathered up your hands and arms go ahead and rinse them under warm running water.
  6. One you have finished rinsing use a paper towel to turn off the water.  Dry your hands and arms with a proper clean and disposable paper towel.  Under no circumstances should you use a rag to dry your hands.  By doing so you may contaminating your hands and causing cross contamination when you go ahead and prep food.

With these tips you and your customers have a better chance of fighting against food borne illnesses.  For more information on how Ken Kuscher can help you and the following services contact him today at www.kenkuscher.com

Most Frequented Accessible Destinations in the World

We all see ourselves vacationing with our loved ones and finding places that are as wheelchair accessible as they claim. A physical limitation is not a hindrance and thanks to recent awareness there are hundreds of cities all over the world that are opening their doors to a greater audience. Who among us doesn’t want to travel and see the world, meet people and experience hands on different cultures? Time and money might be important factors but there is a wide array of locations and attractions all over the world that you can visit on a budget. The following (in no particular order) are our world renowned cities that are uber accessible and fun for the whole family.

Portland, OR

It might not be the most well-known city in America nor is it even the capital of the state of Oregon (its Salem) but it is one of America’s most accessible city and the first on our list of accessible locations. It features a public transport system that is fully optimized for wheelchair users. Public busses and street cars are fully equipped for both motorized and self propelled wheelchairs. A great place to begin your journey would be Forest Park with their accessible paths and well maintained trails allow you to fully enjoy the beauty of a nature hike that is fun for the whole family. The theme parks are legendarily fully accessible as are most of the major attractions as well as shopping centers. National parks are also being equipped with the latest technology and the implementation of hydraulic lamps also gives these attractions an added value. The City of Roses (as Portland is often called) has a cornucopia of places to visit as well as things to do.

London, UK

When you think of transportation in London you imagine everything but comfort. You imagine busy and uncomfortable busses as well as other not so fun means of getting around town. Say what you want about the transportation but the wheelchair access is admirable with their lifts installed on all major stops. Wide doors also allow a wheelchair to easily roll on and off. London has hundreds of accessible attractions that you can visit with your family or even alone if you’re up for it. There are excellent attractions that make entertainment and sightseeing easier than ever. First on this exclusive list would be the places that we’ve seen hundreds of times thanks to pop culture but we’re never really been to. The London Eye, Buckingham Palace, the Natural History Museum are some of the attractions to name a few. London is also one of the gastronomy capitals of the world with more Michellin star chefs per capita than anywhere else.

Sydney, Australia

When we think Australia we think koalas, kangaroos and we think of Paul Hogan as Mike Dundee. Although there are more kangaroos than people, visiting Sydney you’ll most likely see nothing of the sort. Sydney is an incredibly accessible city and with millions being invested yearly into developing a more accessible city, you can be sure there is something for you. You can visit the most frequented landmarks such as the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge but don’t worry; these places are fully accessible and are visited by thousands each year. There are also dozens of other locations in Sydney that you can go to avoid the large clouds but have just as much fun. Check out Circular Quay and the harbor, discover the colonial heritage of the rocks and be inspired by museums and art galleries all over the city.

Sydney and London are great examples of large cities that thanks to public projects have managed to create a name for themselves among the accessible community. Portland might not be the biggest city in America but it is a good example of a small city looking to make a name for among that same accessible crowd. If you’re looking to travel with an accessible loved one and need proper transportation be sure to contact WheelersVan Rentals. For over 25 years Wheelers has offered accessible van rentals, wheelchair and scooter rentals in all 50 states. My Favorite Accessible Cities in America

As an accessible man just out of college and ready to see the world, there are many things that I know will be harder to do than others. My plan is pretty much the same as everyone else’s which is seeing the world one place at a time so this summer I thought I would start with America. I visited some places that were amazing and some places that were, well, not so amazing. Since I was traveling with a few buddies of mine (all classmates and I was the only guy in a wheelchair) I let them know that I wanted to do what they did and I was going to record random cities that I thought future readers would like to know that were accessible. We contacted Wheelers Van Rentals and they almost instantly called us back and gave us a pretty good deal for Wheelchair Van Rentals. Within a week they picked us up in our home in Fort Worth (we requested their Fort Worth Wheelchair Van Rentals) in a pretty cool van that I had never seen before with some pretty cool toys made specifically for the accessible.

First Stop Dallas

Dallas Wheelchair Van Rentals
Fort Worth Wheelchair Van Rentals
Our first stop was in Dallas due to the proximity of it and because if you haven’t been, Dallas has a lot going on and activities round the clock for everyone. For handicapped visitors wide-open spaces are usually pretty daunting and I didn’t want to hold back my friends from doing what they wanted to do. I thought I would miss out on a lot of fun but leave it to Dallas to have an activity for everyone. Many tourists just like me visit Dallas every year and use Dallas Wheelchair Van Rentals to see one of the Lone Star state’s biggest cities and get access to the remarkable number of attractions that welcome guests on wheels. We’re all big sports fans so we went to all the sporting venues that host special presentations from time to time. We went during the summer but Dallas Cowboy’s Stadium is fully wheelchair accessible inside and out.

San Francisco/Santa Rosa/San Diego

San Francisco Wheelchair Van Rentals
Santa Rosa Wheelchair Van Rentals
San Diego Wheelchair Van Rentals
Using Wheelers Santa Rosa Wheelchair Van Rentals, San Francisco Wheelchair VanRentals and San Diego Wheelchair Van Rentals, we managed to drive over to Santa Rosa and San Francisco due to it being such a close drive and none of us had ever been to San Diego so we decided to check it out. San Francisco is such an incredible city, so culturally diverse and though I’ve never been to Europe, it seems to be the city that mostly resembles big cities in Europe. We got to experience ‘the city’ (as locals call it) the way we never had before. We visited Pier 39 which was probably the highlight of the trip there. We saw sea lions, ate chowder in bread bowls and tasted California wines. Santa Rosa was probably not as inspiring but was fun due to its serenity, green pastures and beaches. It was fun because it was nice to be out of the city for a change and get to see different sights. Being a huge peanuts fan as a kid I enjoyed visiting the museum of Charles M. Schulz and reminiscing on my childhood. Our last stop in Cali was in San Diego which is often referred to as ‘America’s Finest City’ with its beautiful beaches and the always fun Sea World San Diego.

Vegas Baby

Las Vegas Wheelchair Van Rentals
All the rumors you’ve heard of Vegas are true and it is truly an incredible experience that we suggest everyone visit at least once. Since it was our last major stop before heading back home, we didn’t have as much energy (or cash) left over but that didn’t stop us from having a good time. In a city that is synonymous with gambling we just had to try some of it so we can brag back to our friends back home. We also hit up a few museums, arcades and other entertainment venues that kept us entertained during our 3 day stay. The van we got from Wheelers for our Las Vegas Wheelchair Van Rentals was a 2013 Toyota Sienna. Wheelers picked us up at the curb which is an added value they offer for no extra charge.

Our trip was probably the most exciting thing I’ve ever done and hope to go on another road trip later this year and after our experience, I’m almost certain we will contact Wheelers again. Not only were their prices very reasonable but they were also very nice and knowledgeable.

Find out the Secret to Last Longer in Bed

Performance anxiety is a major concern for some when it comes to the activities one partakes with their partner in bed.  Sex is supposed to be a pleasurable act but can sometimes turn into a stressful situation.  With ideas of “am I too fat?”, ”Is she enjoying this?”, “am I doing this right?” going through your head, one can easily lose their concentration making for an awkward situation.  The number one concern for men is duration.  Most men would like to last longer in bed.  It’s not hard to understand why.  Who doesn’t want to prolong an enjoyable experience?  Here are a few tips that can help a man last longer in bed.  As with most things, practice makes perfect.

last longer in bed

Hit Those Books!

Look at it as studying for that next big exam (except a lot more fun). The Kama Sutra which has been around for close to two millenniums has helped out countless of couples last longer in bed.  With many tips and techniques the Kama Sutra will be sure to help you extend your love making.  Don’t just rely on the Kama Sutra though, there are many books and videos that can help you improve your sex life.  There is no shame in learning, after all knowledge is power!

Stop all the worrying!

Enjoy the moment.  The worst thing you can do is get in your own head.  Performance anxiety is the number one killer of sustaining an erection.  Try concentrating more on your rhythm and really get to know your body and your limits.  Just like any muscle it needs to be trained.  Hey nobody is born with a six pack, right? Guess what? Same applies for your penis and its ability to last longer in bed.

Change things up!

If you feel you’re coming close to finishing, change things up.  Having sex is not just the simple act of thrusting in and out of someone.  There are many places to explore.  Try kissing, caressing, teasing your partner.  This will give you the time to find some composure and continue the act of love making, besides the ability to last longer in bed, changing things up makes for more excitement.  Nothing is worse than the same old repetitive routine.

Hit the Brakes!

Remember sex is not a race.  It’s not about who comes first (no pun intended).  Now with that in mind, try to mix up your pace.  24/7 jack hammering is not recommended if your goal is to last longer in bed.  Try to enjoy the journey, besides sex at a slower pace makes for a much better connection amongst partners.

Hit the Gym!

Well not literally but exercising your pubococcygeus muscle or PC muscle helps a guy literally pump up.  Squeezing these muscles triggers good blood flow to the penis, which in turn leads to mental confidence.  If you’re having trouble locating these muscles just try stopping your urine flow the next time you use the bathroom, you’ll locate them immediately.

There are numerous amounts of tips and techniques that can be practiced to help you last longer in bed.  Along with this advice one can always go the medical route.  A large array of products are available in the market that desensitizes your penis which helps with premature Ejaculation.  One of the more exciting products out there is Preboost.  With years of research, Preboost combines safety with a highly effective topical anesthetic that produces a subtle desensitization of the skin.  This in turn can help in preventing premature ejaculation.  For more information contact Preboost tody.
